Position: Director of Accounting at a Prominent CPG Firm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee essential accounting functions, including organizational structure, objectives, and goals
  • Manage general ledger, payroll, inventory, accounts receivable/payable, and financial reporting
  • Lead global consolidation efforts and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Analyze financial metrics to assess performance, budget discrepancies, and operational efficiency
  • Guarantee timely and precise external financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards
  • Collaborate with subsidiaries to address local risks and statutory reporting obligations
  • Work alongside external auditors for annual audit preparations and inquiries
  • Assist the Chief Accounting Officer in preparing the accounting function for IPO readiness
  • Design and uphold internal controls, including SOX oversight, documentation, and testing
  • Implement financial controls, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance
  • Provide GAAP accounting guidance and policy updates to both domestic and international teams
  • Maintain best practices for current and future accounting systems
  • Support the development of the accounting team for timely reporting and financial planning insights
  • Mentor and train accounting team members
  • Perform additional duties as required
