Position: Assistant Manager - Accounting & Reporting
Location: Singapore, SG

With a presence in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, Intesa Sanpaolo has approximately 1,200 branches and 7.8 million customers across 12 countries, and operates in 29 countries to assist corporate clients with cross-border operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Reporting: Oversee the preparation of daily regulatory reports to ensure adherence to internal accounting standards and compliance with relevant banking regulations.
- Ensure timely submission of regulatory returns as mandated by the relevant authorities.
- Conduct variance analysis and address inquiries from regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Review and prepare reports for the Department of Statistics, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Engage in projects aimed at enhancing the regulatory reporting process and systems.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new regulatory projects as assigned.
Annual Audit and Tax Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and prepare statutory reporting and disclosures for annual audits.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors on accounting matters.
- Review quarterly GST reports and monthly variance analysis.
- Respond to audit confirmations and queries.
Management Reporting:
- Prepare monthly management reports and conduct variance analysis.
- Address ad hoc requests for management information.
Additional Duties:
- Participate in month-end closing activities, including the review of accruals and prepayments.
- Conduct ledger reconciliations and review accounts payable entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations and handle other assignments as directed by the Head of Department.
Required Experience:
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within the banking sector in Singapore is preferred.
Competencies Required:
- Must possess Singaporean citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Able to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, quick learner, and an effective team player with excellent communication skills.
- Strong IT skills and analytical mindset, particularly in system development and automation.
- Experience with MAS regulatory reporting is highly desirable.
- Participation in MAS-related projects will be considered an advantage.
- Ability to comprehend and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
