This role is pivotal in facilitating communication between Hub Group's clients, storage facilities, and transportation providers. You will adeptly oversee the supply chain requirements of multiple clients, deliver exceptional customer service, and guarantee the efficient execution of client demands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with client accounts, ensuring timely resolution of issues and concerns.
  • Evaluate client needs and take the lead in developing and managing account specifications and procedures to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Proactively oversee daily order data; suggest enhancements and implement necessary changes.
  • Handle a high volume of communications daily, analyzing and responding as needed.
  • Manage the order process flow in accordance with contractual specifications.
  • Ensure optimal delivery performance by selecting the most suitable carrier and overseeing the tracking process.
  • Maintain accuracy in inventory records, conducting audits, documenting results, and analyzing trends.
  • Monitor and report on order acceptance, maintenance, and inventory through various communication channels and Hub Group's transportation management systems.
  • Provide alternative transportation and/or warehousing solutions as needed by analyzing internal and external account metrics.
  • Oversee assigned client accounts to ensure they receive the best products at the most competitive costs, maximizing margins, network efficiency, and On-Time Performance (OTP).
  • Identify billable transactional charges and follow company protocols to minimize disputes, assist in collections, and collaborate with Account Managers to mitigate excess charges.
  • Communicate with shippers, warehouses, and consignees regarding notifications of exceptions and problem resolution.
  • Enhance Hub profitability and reduce client cost exposure by collaborating with Operations to effectively manage inventory flow, minimize shipping delays, and maintain compliance.
  • Uphold quality service by monitoring standards and advising supervisors of potential issues. Collaborate with the Manager of Account Management and Operations Group to address and resolve supply chain challenges promptly.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned or modified as necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or management is preferred.
  • Experience in the transportation sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with EDI processes, Web Tender Portals, and other relevant electronic communication methods is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Willingness to participate in weekend rotations as scheduled.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for inspiring innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Capable of identifying and understanding client needs, crafting effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated, yet a strong team player.
  • Minimal travel may be required.
