Mortgage Bank Branch Manager (SAFE)

About the Position:

Wells Fargo is in search of a skilled Mortgage Bank Branch Manager (SAFE) to join our Consumer Lending division, specifically within Home Lending. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and mentor a team of Mortgage Bank Sales Consultants stationed in various branch locations, focusing on delivering exceptional service to our customers.
  2. Engage in collaboration with bank leadership and colleagues to address the mortgage lending needs of existing clients.
  3. Oversee sales operations to ensure outstanding customer service, adherence to timelines, and compliance with regulatory standards in mortgage retail sales.
  4. Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team by evaluating and guiding the sales activities of Mortgage Bank Sales Consultants.
  5. Manage the loan origination process by monitoring branch pipeline activities and ensuring alignment with customer commitments.
  6. Provide guidance to prospective and current customers regarding Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs, including rates, policies, and loan procedures.
  7. Enhance customer loyalty by ensuring proactive communication and regular follow-ups with clients.
  8. Identify and implement process improvements and risk management strategies in operational areas.
  9. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  10. Analyze financial and credit data to match customer needs with suitable loan options.
  11. Promote Wells Fargo Home Mortgage visibility in the marketplace.
  12. Continuously update knowledge of products, policies, and underwriting standards.
  13. Ensure compliance with federal and state home lending regulations while guiding branch teams.
  14. Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in Mortgage Retail Sales or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.

Desired:

  • 2+ years of sales management experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in data analysis.
  • 1+ year of experience in recruitment.
  • Experience in the mortgage industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales prospecting and referral generation.
  • Familiarity with compliance and federal regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
