Key Responsibilities
  1. Core Duties: The following responsibilities are essential. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and practices; undertake other assigned tasks.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with AM&M Support Managers, site leadership, maintenance supervisors, colleagues, external agencies, and the community.
  • Assess and input asset management information into AM&M Support systems and applications.
  • Compile and disseminate weekly regional KPI updates to relevant sites and personnel as instructed.
  • Examine work order statuses related to the asset management program for completeness, accuracy, and discrepancies; liaise with appropriate staff to implement necessary updates and resolve issues pertaining to work order completion and closure.
  • Organize and coordinate training sessions for CMMS and data systems for site teams and AM&M personnel as required.
  • Generate and analyze reports from data platforms regarding asset condition, maintenance planning/scheduling, and completed work orders; evaluate outputs for trends.
  • Assist in data integration into asset management databases, identifying user training needs and resolving concerns, while participating in testing and onboarding for new team members and systems.
  • Through proactive engagement, the successful candidate will drive KPI performance and ensure the quality and integrity of data collection through collaboration with site stakeholders.
  • Propose enhancements for maintenance strategies, procedures, and methodologies to boost overall asset and equipment reliability and performance.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with assigned sites, reporting on asset health and escalating priorities as necessary.
  • Support sites in documenting and analyzing equipment failure data and performance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement, focusing on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
  • Assist Asset Support Managers in evaluating reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and failure mode analysis processes to systematically assess critical asset failures, develop preventative standards, and prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with Asset Support Managers to design and oversee condition-based monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication analysis, to anticipate equipment failures and schedule preventive maintenance.
  • Support lease vs. buy business models, vendor relationships, and procurement efforts in partnership with Asset Support Managers.
  • Contribute to the development and submission of the annual CapEx plan, assisting in execution and budget adherence.
  • Facilitate training and development initiatives for maintenance and operations personnel to enhance their understanding of reliability and operational principles.
  • Assist Asset Support Managers in guiding daily maintenance activities across multiple operating sites, providing technical support to site Maintenance Supervisors and promoting improved standards and quality of work.
Qualifications

  2. Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  3. Experience:
    • Over 1 year of experience coordinating maintenance activities, preferably in a steel, mining, or heavy industrial setting.
    • Over 2 years of experience in maintenance scheduling/planning within a CMMS environment.
  1. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably in Mining, Mechanical, Process, or Electrical Engineering, or other relevant vocational qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience:
    • Over 3 years of experience coordinating multi-site, multi-functional maintenance teams and activities, ideally in a steel, mining, or heavy industrial context.
    • Over 3 years of experience managing financial performance in maintenance and/or operations environments.
    • Over 3 years of experience overseeing spare parts and inventory management.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal abilities.
    • Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Engineering, HR, and Procurement.
    • Able to lead by example with integrity and accountability.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in MS Office applications.
    • Experienced with CMMS.
    • Familiar with Oracle systems.
    • Ability to analyze, assemble, and interpret data, identifying opportunities and making recommendations based on findings.
    • Capable of developing presentations and reports for business improvement initiatives.
  • Other Skills:
    • Ability to effectively plan and organize time, manage multiple projects, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
    • Understanding of urgency in the service industry to prevent service interruptions.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret extensive cost and performance-related data.
