Key Responsibilities- Core Duties: The following are essential responsibilities; additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.
- Adhere to safe work practices and safety protocols; perform other assigned duties.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with AM&M Support Managers, site leadership, maintenance supervisors, colleagues, external agencies, and the community.
- Assess and input asset management data into AM&M Support systems and applications.
- Analyze and disseminate weekly regional KPI updates to relevant sites and personnel as instructed.
- Examine work order statuses related to the asset management initiative for thoroughness, accuracy, comments, and discrepancies; liaise with appropriate staff to implement necessary updates and resolve issues.
- Organize and schedule training meetings for CMMS and data systems for sites and AM&M Teams as required.
- Compile and evaluate reports from data platforms: asset condition, maintenance planning/scheduling, completed work orders; assess output for trends.
- Assist with data integration into asset management databases, identifying user training needs, addressing user concerns, and participating in testing and onboarding for new team members and systems.
- Proactively drive KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and ensure the quality and integrity of data capture through engagement with site stakeholders.
- Recommend maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to enhance overall asset and equipment reliability and performance.
- Establish and maintain regular communication with assigned sites regarding asset health, escalating priorities and situations as necessary.
- Support sites in documenting and analyzing equipment failure data and performance reports to identify trends and improvement areas, focusing on root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
- Assist Asset Support Managers in evaluating reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes to systematically assess critical asset failures, develop preventative standards, and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with Asset Support Managers to design and oversee condition-based monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication analysis, to anticipate equipment failures and schedule preventive maintenance.
- Contribute to lease vs. buy analyses, vendor, and supplier partnerships alongside Asset Support Managers and procurement efforts.
- Participate in the development and submission of the annual CapEx plan, assisting in execution and budget adherence.
- Facilitate training and development initiatives for maintenance and operations personnel to enhance their understanding of reliability and operational principles.
- Support Asset Support Managers in guiding maintenance activities across multiple operating sites, providing technical assistance to site Maintenance Supervisors, and promoting improved standards and quality of work.
- Basic Requirements: To excel in this role, candidates must satisfactorily fulfill each essential duty. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Over 1 year of experience coordinating maintenance activities, preferably in a steel, mining, or heavy industrial setting.
- More than 2 years of experience in maintenance scheduling/planning using CMMS.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably in Mining, Mechanical, Process, or Electrical Engineering, or other relevant vocational qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience:
- Over 3 years of experience coordinating multi-site, multi-functional maintenance teams and activities, preferably in a steel, mining, or heavy industrial environment.
- More than 3 years of experience managing financial performance in maintenance and/or operations settings.
- Over 3 years of experience managing spare parts and inventory.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Engineering, HR, and Procurement.
- Able to lead by example with integrity and accountability.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Proficient in CMMS.
- Proficient in Oracle.
- Ability to analyze, assemble, and interpret data, identify opportunities, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Ability to create presentations and reports for business improvement initiatives.
- Other Skills:
- Ability to effectively plan and organize time, manage multiple projects, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Understanding of urgency in service-related contexts to prevent service interruptions.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret extensive cost and performance-related data.
