Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Adhering to safe work practices and safety protocols; performing additional tasks as required.
  • Fostering and maintaining collaborative relationships with AM&M Support Managers, site leadership, maintenance supervisors, colleagues, external agencies, and the community.
  • Assessing and inputting asset management data into AM&M Support systems and applications.
  • Preparing and disseminating weekly regional KPI updates to relevant sites and personnel as instructed.
  • Evaluating work order statuses related to the asset management program for completeness and accuracy; coordinating with appropriate staff to resolve discrepancies and finalize work orders.
  • Organizing and scheduling training sessions for CMMS and data systems for sites and AM&M Teams as necessary.
  • Generating and reviewing reports from data platforms regarding asset conditions, maintenance planning, and completed work orders; analyzing output for trends.
  • Assisting with data integration into asset management databases, identifying user training needs, resolving user issues, and participating in testing and onboarding of new team members.
  • Taking proactive ownership to drive KPI performance and ensure the quality and integrity of data capture through stakeholder engagement.
  • Recommending maintenance strategies and procedures to enhance overall asset and equipment reliability.
  • Maintaining regular communication with assigned sites regarding asset health and escalating priorities as needed.
  • Supporting sites in documenting and analyzing equipment failure data and performance reports to identify trends and improvement areas, focusing on root cause analysis.
  • Assisting Asset Support Managers in analyzing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) processes to systematically evaluate critical asset failures.
  • Collaborating with Asset Support Managers to design and oversee condition-based monitoring programs, including vibration analysis and lubrication analysis.
  • Participating in lease vs. buy evaluations and vendor management in partnership with Asset Support Managers.
  • Contributing to the development and submission of the annual CapEx plan and assisting in its execution and budget adherence.
  • Facilitating training programs for maintenance and operations staff to enhance their understanding of reliability and operational principles.
  • Supporting Asset Support Managers in daily maintenance guidance across multiple operating sites, providing technical assistance to site Maintenance Supervisors.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in coordinating maintenance activities, preferably in a steel, mining, or heavy industrial setting; 2 years of experience in maintenance scheduling/planning using CMMS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, such as Mining, Mechanical, Process, or Electrical, or equivalent vocational qualification.
  • Experience: Over 3 years of experience coordinating multi-site maintenance teams; managing financial performance in maintenance or operations; overseeing spare parts and inventory.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; experience working within multi-functional teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, CMMS, and Oracle; ability to analyze and interpret data for business improvement.
  • Other Skills: Effective time management and organizational skills; understanding of urgency in service delivery.
Work Environment

Work conditions may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and moderate to loud noise levels. Willingness to travel overnight is required.
