At Marvell, you have the opportunity to impact individual lives, elevate entire industries, and drive the transformative potential of the future.

Your Team, Your Impact

As a Lead Optical Test Engineer within the Cloud Optics Product and Test Engineering division, you will take charge of the test development for advanced optical products intended for mass production.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to product release timelines, achieving necessary test capacity, and preventing the shipment of any substandard units.

You will collaborate closely with design teams to guarantee that products are testable and that results align with customer specifications.

What You Can Expect

• Architect and implement automated testing systems (encompassing software, hardware, and databases) for the production, characterization, and development of optical modules and components.

• Take ownership of manufacturing test methodologies, processes, and coverage to ensure product quality and reliability.

• Develop software and database tools for data analysis, reporting, and work-in-progress control during both production and development stages.

• Define and communicate design for test (DFT) requirements to design teams to ensure product testability.

• Facilitate the transfer of production test capabilities to offshore contract manufacturers.

• Drive cost reductions through test time optimization and yield improvements.

• Support design, qualification, and operational teams on automated tests, including characterization and reliability qualifications.

What We're Looking For

• Over 10 years of experience in developing automated testing solutions for optical components or modules.

• Proficient knowledge of optical systems, modules, components, and photonic devices (lasers, detectors, modulators, DWDM systems).

• Experience with control mechanisms for complex optical components or modules.

• Proficient in programming with Visual Basic / VB.Net and database management (SQL).

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python is advantageous.

• Strong sense of ownership, excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit.

• Experience in testing optical modules.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.Compensation and Benefits

At Marvell, we provide a comprehensive compensation package that includes base salary, bonuses, and equity. Health and financial well-being are integral to our offerings, which include flexible time off, a 401k plan, year-end shutdowns, floating holidays, and paid time off for volunteering. If you have questions regarding our benefits packages, please inquire during the interview process.

This position is eligible for our hybrid work model, allowing you to balance time between remote work and on-site responsibilities.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.

Any applicant requiring reasonable accommodation during the selection process should contact Marvell HR Helpdesk.
