Optical Manufacturing Engineer

Become a vital member of our Semiconductor Infrastructure Solutions (SIS) team, which focuses on laser interferometry systems, high-precision optical components, and cutting-edge electronic measurement solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative tooling for optical assembly utilizing CAD and mechanical engineering expertise.
  • Collaborate closely with Research and Development teams to establish manufacturing protocols for precision optics assembly.
  • Oversee the development, documentation, and training of manufacturing processes to guarantee production excellence.
  • Conduct optics metrology measurements to ensure process performance reliability.
  • Assist in the transfer of New Product Introductions (NPI) and provide training on optical processes.
  • Establish critical monitoring metrics in conjunction with the Quality Assurance team.
  • Address Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and perform corrective action analysis.
Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Optics Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Familiarity with process control, precision optics metrology, and cleanroom standards.
  • Expertise in precision optomechanics design and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the design or manufacturing of precision optomechanical products.
  • Understanding of quality control methodologies, including Six Sigma.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for design and analysis purposes.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Physics.
