Responsibilities of the Clinical Supervisor:

  • Supervises counselors and clinical support staff in delivering assessments, substance use disorder education, treatment, and case management to clients.
  • Oversees client programs: evaluates the performance of counselors, audits client records to ensure compliance with regulations and contractual obligations, and achieves service delivery goals.
  • Acts as a professional resource for counselors in resolving complex case issues and provides clinical supervision and guidance.
  • Interprets and enforces organizational and facility policies and procedures, contributing to the development of treatment protocols and processes.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, mental health, substance abuse counseling, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of six months of clinical supervision or counseling experience.
  • At least 3.5 years of experience as a Certified Counselor (CACII), LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • Must be able to obtain certification as a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) within eighteen months of starting as a Clinical Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and move around the facilities for up to two hours at a time to monitor and engage with clients.
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amounts of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to record, proofread, and check documents and files for accuracy, as well as prepare and analyze data and figures.
  • Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data.
  • Ability to respond to telephones and to hear and detect alarms and unusual sounds.
