Position Overview

As a key contributor, you will leverage your expertise to assist in the creation and implementation of a pilot outpatient Suboxone treatment initiative, collaborating closely with a physician medical lead and program managers. Your role will encompass providing substance abuse counseling services, which include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Delivering long-term counseling and psychoeducation
  • Managing cases and advocating for patients
  • Tracking mental health assessments using systematic rating tools
  • Consulting with the medical team to enhance patient understanding
  • Supporting the implementation and monitoring of comprehensive treatment plans

You will also be responsible for developing self-care plans and skills training aimed at improving coping mechanisms, stress reduction, and emotional regulation. Your support will be crucial in facilitating protocol-driven substance abuse treatment for our patient panel.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in substance abuse counseling
  • Experience as a clinical provider in behavioral health, including biopsychosocial evaluations and psychotherapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Educational Background

A Master's degree or doctorate in social work or counseling is required.

Licensure and Certification

Applicants must hold a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential, or be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LPC) certified in New Jersey.
