Job Description

This position serves as a key member of the Senior Executive Team, providing oversight and direction in strategic planning, goal setting, program outcomes, and performance measurement for Administrative Solutions. The Deputy Executive Director develops tools and systems to provide critical financial, human resources, and operational information to the CDHS Executive Director, as well as implementing actions related to strategic direction for these functions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise subordinate managerial staff
  • Establish organization structure, develop strategic work plans, and set goals and objectives to achieve program results
  • Foster a team environment and promote collaboration among team members
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective operations
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful outcomes
Requirements
  • 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience leading a large, complex organization
  • 6 years of experience successfully leading and supervising subordinate managerial staff
  • 4 years of professional public or business administration experience
  • Experience in Colorado State Government is preferred
Working Conditions

This position requires a standard background check and may involve travel on a regular basis. The position is hybrid with some remote work flexibility, but the position does require travel on a regular basis.
