Job Overview

Paragon Cyber Solutions is seeking a dedicated Theater Engineer to engage in a challenging and rewarding career. The position supports various geographic Combatant Command (CCMD) areas, including U.S. European Command, U.S. Central Command, and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, contributing to critical missions for the Department of State and other defense entities.

Security Clearance: Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility

Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel may be necessary

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 24/7 Tier 2 system support for remote users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and communication challenges while documenting solutions and suggesting improvements to minimize repair frequency.
  • Address system outages promptly to meet contractual obligations.
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and support of foreign partner systems and networks.
  • Participate in Emergency On-Site Sustainment (EOSS) travel as needed.
  • Manage system component failures or change requests, planning for system modifications or restorations.
  • Conduct training sessions for existing and new users within CCMD and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
  • Travel to foreign partner locations as required, with potential for significant travel throughout the year.
  • Oversee planning and execution of sustainment and training trips, whether single or multi-team.
  • Update Technical Data Packages to accurately reflect system documentation.
  • Perform on-site sustainment tasks, including system operational checks, inventory management, system updates, and documentation revisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of systems administration experience with Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong familiarity with Server Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking and routing protocols, including GRE and IPSEC tunnels.
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (VoIP) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards.
  • Understanding of Network Encryption Devices.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory for user and group management.
  • Familiarity with current Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Basic knowledge of database maintenance for Oracle/Sybase/Postgress.
  • Experience with Java application servers and Linux/UNIX services.
Additional Requirements
  • Must possess and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is required.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours or weekends as project demands dictate.
