Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Signet Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality mental health services to patients in our outpatient behavioral health department.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough initial patient evaluations to identify treatment needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Provide Evidence-Based Therapies: Deliver a range of psychotherapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-based therapy, and behavior therapy, to support patients' mental health and well-being.
- Supervise and Train Colleagues: Provide clinical supervision and training to other clinicians and students, promoting professional growth and development.
- Document Patient Care: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient services, ensuring compliance with administrative and peer review requirements.
- Engage in Teaching and Training: Participate in teaching and training activities, enhancing clinical skills and knowledge through supervision, in-service training, and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to Professional Standards: Uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional practice, adhering to the American Psychological Association's code of ethics and relevant District of Columbia regulations.
- Provide Brief Mental Health and Co-Occurring Therapy: Offer general individual counseling, family therapy, and various forms of therapy based on patients' needs, including trauma-based therapy and addiction-related therapy.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as required to support the team and achieve departmental goals.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A doctoral degree in clinical psychology
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing psychological treatment to patients with psychiatric/behavioral health disorders
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Previous adult behavioral health and substance use treatment experience (preferred)
- An active District of Columbia Psychologist license or license eligibility
