The role of a Clinical Psychologist within the DC Department of Human Resources encompasses delivering direct psychological services to both forensic and civil clientele through individual and group therapeutic interventions, comprehensive psychological evaluations, and competency restoration initiatives. This position also entails overseeing psychology interns and executing forensic assessments as required. Compensation Structure:

  • DS-11: $72,751 - $93,685
  • DS-12: $89,961 - $115,099
  • DS-13: $103,651 - $133,558

Required Qualifications: Candidates must have successfully completed an APA accredited doctoral program along with a clinical internship, and hold a valid license in the District of Columbia.

Experience Requirements: Prior experience in delivering care to individuals with mental health disorders in inpatient settings is essential.

Work Environment: The position is situated in a controlled setting with a moderate risk of accidents.

Position Designation: This is a safety-sensitive role necessitating various assessments and checks.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons.

Residency Preference: District residents are granted a 10-point residency preference.
