Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Children's National Health System. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical services for patients at Children's Hospital and other approved sites, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient and family.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Participate in research studies and projects, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and best practices in pediatric mental health.
  • Teach and supervise trainees, including medical students, residents, and fellows, in the assessment and treatment of mental health conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to mental health care.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) or PhD in Developmental or Clinical Psychology.
  • Successful completion of postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology.
  • 3 years of experience as a member of a multidisciplinary team and working with parents across ethnic boundaries.
  • Experience in a pediatric academic setting and evidence of participation in collaborative research within the realm of early childhood.
  • Interest in teaching and supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods, and interventions for the delivery of psychological services, including diagnosis and treatment in the area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of psychological care.
  • Ability to function independently in evaluating patient problems and developing a plan for patient care.
  • Ability to incorporate ethical concepts into patient care and discuss these with the patient, family, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in the area of expertise.
