About the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO)

The WWSO is a key component of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), focusing on driving revenue and growth across a diverse range of customers, from small to enterprise-level, including those in the public sector. Our approach is customer-centric, addressing complex challenges to develop and implement go-to-market strategies that transform AWS concepts into substantial business opportunities.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a member of the WWSO Public Sector team, you will:

  • Engage with CxO and VP-level executives, as well as developers and technical architects, to facilitate adoption, generate pipeline, secure key customers, and explore strategic partnerships.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor through Technical Thought Leadership within customer accounts.
  • Design and implement programs that leverage AWS Field teams and partner channels.
  • Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to develop solutions that address customer needs, including reference architectures and automation strategies.
  • Work alongside Marketing to create and align digital campaigns that enhance awareness and demand.
  • Oversee the global GTM strategy and execution for Containers in the Public Sector, coordinating with Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other specialists.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in GTM, Sales, or Consulting.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology domains related to cloud-native applications and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Docker, and Mesos.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with open-source software and software development methodologies.
  • Strong storytelling abilities supported by data, with comfort in engaging with both executives and developers.
  • Recognized expertise in relevant fields, with proven public speaking skills.
  • Cloud expertise demonstrated through relevant certifications.
  • Advanced degree preferred, particularly an MBA or MS in Computer Science or Engineering.
