Position Overview
The **Financial Planning Analyst** plays a crucial role in orchestrating, evaluating, and managing the financial planning process across various departments and initiatives within the organization. This position is pivotal in determining the allocation of resources and projecting financial needs.

Primary Duties
  • Oversees financial reporting related to grants.
  • Establishes collaborative relationships with departmental teams to gain insights into funding sources and expenditure frameworks.
  • Collaborates with Senior Management and program leaders to formulate the organizational budget.
  • Maintains comprehensive reports utilizing budgeting software.
  • Modifies personnel distribution as necessary.
  • Supports departments in crafting their operational budgets.
  • Evaluates budget submissions and provides guidance on financial viability.
  • Continuously updates budgets and forecasts in response to evolving assumptions.
  • Conducts analyses comparing budgeted figures to actual performance.
  • Generates budget reports for regular reviews with Senior Management.
  • Develops new project budget codes as required.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred; an Associate's Degree in Accounting is mandatory.
Professional Experience
  • For candidates with a Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in budgeting is required; for those with an Associate's Degree, 7 years of experience in the non-profit sector is necessary.
  • Proficient understanding of GAAP, OMB Circulars, and advanced skills in Excel are essential.
  • Experience with budgeting software and familiarity with non-profit financials is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to independently manage projects and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
