Position Overview:
The Financial Operations Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role within the Claims and Operations Finance division, contributing to Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). This position emphasizes individual contributions and collaboration to fulfill operational plans, expense forecasts, and comprehensive financial reporting.

This role is responsible for overseeing specific functional areas within the Claims and Operations Finance sector and assisting with more intricate functions, delivering both standard and customized reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly financial and operational evaluations using diverse data sources and methodologies.
- Engage with business stakeholders regularly to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Develop sustainable, insightful trend analyses that add value.
- Prepare commentary for financial presentations, encompassing managed and allocated expenses.
- Support the financial forecasting process to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Ensure that general ledger transactions, reserves, corrections, and cost allocations are appropriate and well-supported.
- Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in expense management or financial analysis.
- Proficient in Excel; familiarity with TM1 is advantageous.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- A keen sense of curiosity and a desire to understand underlying processes.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to foster effective relationships with business partners.

Compensation:
The annualized base pay range for this position is $78,080 - $117,120. Actual compensation may vary based on performance, proficiency, and demonstration of required competencies. This base pay is one component of The Hartford's comprehensive compensation package, which may also include bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition rewards.
