Position Overview:
The Financial Operations Senior Analyst will be an integral part of the Claims and Operations Finance team within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) division. This role emphasizes individual contributions and collaboration to develop operational plans, expense forecasts, and comprehensive financial reporting and analysis.

This position will oversee specific functional areas within the Claims and Operations Finance sector and may assist with more intricate functional areas, delivering both standard and customized reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly financial and operational assessments using diverse data sources and methodologies.
- Engage with business stakeholders regularly to gather insights.
- Create sustainable, value-driven trend analyses.
- Prepare commentary for financial presentations, encompassing managed and allocated expenses.
- Support the financial forecasting process.
- Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of financial and management reports.
- Validate that general ledger transactions, reserves, paid corrections, and cost allocations are accurate and well-supported.
- Participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant expense management or financial analysis experience.
- Proficient in Excel; familiarity with TM1 is advantageous.
- Exhibit critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities in job responsibilities.
- Possess a strong sense of curiosity and a desire to understand underlying reasons.
- Self-motivated and driven by performance outcomes.
- Quick to learn and adapt to new applications.
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical thinker with proven problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with business partners and other expense stakeholders.

Compensation:
The annualized base pay range for this role is between $78,080 and $117,120. This range is primarily based on an analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay may vary and could be above or below the listed range based on factors such as performance, proficiency, and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is one component of The Hartford's total compensation package, which may also include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and immediate recognition.
