We are in search of a strategic and analytical individual to become a part of our Business Development team as the Business Strategy Lead at Tideworks.

In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Vice President of Strategy and play a crucial part in shaping and executing the company's strategic objectives and long-term vision.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Conducting thorough research and analysis to evaluate market trends and competitive landscapes, offering insights to guide senior leadership.
  • Collaborating with various teams to gather essential data, perform financial modeling, and conduct feasibility assessments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Monitoring the performance of existing business units, identifying areas for enhancement, and recommending actionable improvements.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate complex strategies and recommendations effectively.
  • Staying informed about industry developments and regulatory changes that may influence the company's strategic direction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy consulting or corporate strategy, ideally within the logistics or transportation sector.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strong grasp of financial concepts and valuation techniques.
  • Proficiency in market research, competitive analysis, and industry benchmarking.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to influence stakeholders across various levels.

Work Environment:

  • Professional office setting with exposure to computer screens.
  • Hybrid work schedule, requiring at least three days in the office.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
