Reliability Engineer for Powertrain Systems

Position Overview:
Our organization is seeking a Powertrain Quality / Reliability Engineer. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and reliability of our powertrain systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to enhance Supplier Quality Reject (QR) performance.
- Engage in Quality Reviews and contribute to Powertrain Variability Reduction Team (PRT) meetings, focusing on resolving supplier-related warranty issues.
- Support QR protocols by managing concern categorization, evaluating threshold QRs, and aiding in QR dispute resolutions. Collaborate with the Incoming Quality (IQ) team on non-responsive suppliers and ensure data accuracy in QR/PPM (Parts Per Million).
- Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proficient in developing and presenting materials to senior management under tight deadlines.
- Oversee part quality confirmation processes for suppliers with recurring containment failures.
- Lead special-cause supplier process projects related to quality.
- Collaborate with PRT on Supplier Process (SP) quality issues.
- Notify and engage relevant teams regarding potential supplier-related shipment halts.
- Assist in managing supplier Stop Ship issues and track suspect materials.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure accurate root cause analysis for quality reporting.
- Monitor daily production metrics and alert management of significant issues.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and manufacturing teams, participating in daily quality meetings and preparing for quality reviews.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects with strict deadlines.
- Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies.
