Role Summary:

We are in search of a highly experienced Site Reliability Engineer to spearhead transformative projects within our IT operations, integrating development processes as well. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing and executing innovative SRE solutions, facilitating the transition of IT operations towards an engineering-focused methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of SRE metrics and transformation methodologies.
  • Experience in transitioning from traditional support to SRE practices is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale production environments with ITIL and SRE processes, along with a solid grasp of ticket management systems.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies, leading SRE deliverables effectively.
  • Promote the evolution of SRE practices within IT operations, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance service reliability and ensure operational dependability in applications.
  • Establish monitoring frameworks to evaluate application and infrastructure performance, proactively identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Comprehend incident and problem management processes, conduct post-mortems, and implement improvements to mitigate future incidents.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of practical experience in SRE, cloud technologies, development, and automation tools.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including Control Tower, Project Setup, Account Creation, RDS, and SSO.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in Linux Commands, GitLab CI/CD Setup, and Terraform for state management.
  • Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
  • Hands-on experience with APM tools, preferably Datadog, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
  • Strong understanding of Observability Frameworks, leveraging programmatic SLI/SLO blueprints for standardized signal collection.
  • Experience in automation tasks using Ansible or similar scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Groovy-DSL, Java, Python, and YAML, along with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of messaging systems like MQ and Kafka.
  • Experience with database technologies, including Oracle and MySQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Site Reliability Engineer (CSRE), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer.
