Role Description:

We are in search of an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to spearhead transformative projects within our IT operations. This pivotal role will involve designing and implementing innovative SRE solutions, facilitating the transition of IT operations towards an engineering-focused methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of SRE metrics and transformation methodologies.
  • Experience in transitioning from traditional support to SRE practices is highly beneficial.
  • Engage in large-scale production environments with a solid grasp of ITIL and SRE processes, including ticket management.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies while leading SRE initiatives.
  • Promote the evolution of SRE within IT operations, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance service and application reliability.
  • Establish monitoring systems to evaluate application and infrastructure performance, proactively identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Understand incident and problem management processes, conduct post-mortems, and implement improvements to mitigate future incidents.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in SRE, cloud technologies, development, and automation tools.
  • Strong practical knowledge of AWS services, including Control Tower, Project Setup, Account Creation, RDS, and SSO.
  • Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Linux Commands, GitLab CI/CD, and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and ELK.
  • Hands-on experience with APM tools, preferably Datadog, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
  • Understanding of Observability Frameworks and SLI/SLO standards for collecting key performance indicators.
  • Experience in automation using Ansible or similar scripting languages.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Groovy-DSL, Java, Python, and YAML, with a focus on microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of messaging systems like MQ and Kafka.
  • Experience with databases, including Oracle and MySQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Site Reliability Engineer (CSRE), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer.
