Job Overview:

Powertrain Product Engineer Responsibilities encompass: Developing 3D inverter internal structural analysis CAE models derived from CAD specifications. Conducting 3D structural analysis simulations at the system, subsystem, and component levels for inverter system controls, facilitating the design evolution of inverter internals through the application of commercial CAE software (e.g., ABAQUS, Nastran, etc.). Assessing 3D structural analysis outcomes and delivering insights and design guidance to both the vehicle program and inverter teams. Collaborating with vehicle-level teams to acquire boundary conditions essential for inverter structural simulations. Engaging with laboratories and vehicle-level testing teams. Defining instrumentation requirements for data acquisition. Analyzing physical structural test results and utilizing the data to refine CAE models. Coordinating with overseas CAE teams for meshing and geometric refinement tasks. Remote work options available.

Essential Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, coupled with 12 months of relevant experience in roles such as CAE Durability Engineer, CAE/Simulation Engineer, or a comparable mechanical engineering position. Proficiency in: ABAQUS CAE, Hyper Works, LS-PrePost, NX Nastran, LS-Dyna, nCode, and modeFRONTIER. Standard work hours: 40 hrs/week, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
