  • Proficient in automotive communication protocols such as CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
  • Strong technical writing skills for creating test procedures, plans, and reports.
  • Familiarity with Vector tools for development and testing processes.
  • Experience with V-Model Systems Engineering methodologies.
  • Proficient in data analysis using tools like MATLAB or Python.
  • Basic understanding of Autonomous Driving and ADAS technologies.
  • Experience in leading discussions with external stakeholders to convey test results and data comprehensively.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience collaborating with remote Technicians and Operators/Drivers.
  • Familiarity with NHTSA Levels 2-5 Autonomous Vehicles.
  • Basic knowledge of V-Model Systems Engineering and relevant tools (e.g., Polarion/Doors) to support product development.
  • Proficient in using JIRA or other project management tools.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and achieve goals independently.
  • Curiosity and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and empower team members.
  • Hands-on approach with a focus on experimentation and learning.
  • Resilience in facing challenges and viewing them as opportunities for growth.

Position Summary:

The Vehicle Systems Test Engineer (VSTE) role focuses on the testing and validation engineering aspects of ADAS features for OEM vehicle programs. Testing is performed on closed courses to simulate real-world conditions and assess vehicle features. An ideal candidate will possess a self-motivated mindset, enjoy hands-on work, and demonstrate attention to detail while managing multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop test procedures, plans, and reports to facilitate vehicle testing activities.
  • Conduct closed-course vehicle testing across various test tracks.
  • Specify instrumentation and equipment for test vehicles, perform test driving, and collect data.
  • Assist the Test Architect Team with System Requirements analysis and test case mapping.
  • Analyze data from testing to ensure compliance with federal and internal standards, providing recommendations to design teams.
  • Design and implement data analysis scripts, collaborating with engineering teams to determine key parameters and presenting findings weekly.
  • Document testing results and communicate any issues identified.
  • Design test routes and collaborate with Vehicle Operators, identifying trends in data and conducting root-cause analysis.
