Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Quality / Reliability Engineer specializing in Powertrain systems. This role focuses on enhancing quality assurance processes and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives to improve Supplier Quality Reject (QR) performance through critical supplier processes.
  • Engage in Quality Reviews and participate in Powertrain Variability Reduction Team (PRT) meetings to address external supplier warranty issues.
  • Support QR protocols by managing concern categorization, evaluating threshold QRs, and facilitating QR dispute resolutions. Collaborate with the Incoming Quality (IQ) team to address non-responsive suppliers and ensure accurate QR/PPM (Parts Per Million) data.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven ability to create and present materials to senior management under tight deadlines.
  • Coordinate quality confirmation processes for suppliers with recurring issues.
  • Lead projects aimed at containing special-cause supplier processes.
  • Collaborate with PRT on Supplier Process (SP) issues to achieve Glidepath objectives.
  • Provide timely notifications to relevant teams regarding potential supplier-related shipment holds.
  • Assist in managing supplier Stop Ship issues and support tracking of suspect materials.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure accurate root cause analysis for Prevent Action Closure (PAC) reporting.
  • Monitor daily production reports and alert management to issues requiring attention.
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers and manufacturing management, participating in quality meetings to report on warranty issues.
