Position Overview:

Our organization is seeking a Quality / Reliability Engineer specializing in Powertrain systems. This role is pivotal in enhancing our quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Critical Supplier Processes to enhance Supplier Quality Reject (QR) performance metrics.
  • Engage in Quality Reviews and participate in sub-system PRT (Powertrain Variability Reduction Team) meetings, focusing on resolving external supplier process warranty issues.
  • Assist in QR procedures by managing concern categorization, evaluating threshold QRs, and aiding in QR Dispute resolution. Collaborate with the Incoming Quality (IQ) team on supplier responsiveness.
  • Support suppliers and manufacturing plants in ensuring accuracy of QR/PPM (Parts Per Million) data.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years in Plant Manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent technical/manufacturing knowledge.
  • Capability to prepare and present materials to senior management under tight deadlines.
  • Coordinate quality confirmation processes for suppliers with recurrent containment failures.
  • Lead containment efforts for special-cause supplier processes in BSAQ (Balanced Single Agenda for Quality) projects.
  • Collaborate with PRT on Supplier Process BSAQ matters for Glidepath values.
  • Proactively notify and engage the STA Site team regarding potential Stop Shipments linked to supplier processes.
  • Assist in managing supplier Stop Ship issues and support the Site STA team with suspect material and vehicle tracking.
  • Work with Stop Ship stakeholders to ensure accurate root cause analysis for Prevent Action Closure (PAC) reporting.
  • Monitor daily production reports and alert STA management to issues needing attention.
  • Act as a liaison between STA and manufacturing plant management, supporting Daily Plant Quality Meetings to report on supplier process warranty issues.
