Urban Peak is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support services for youth ages 15 through 24 experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in Denver. Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Youth Support Specialists to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing direct support and guidance to youth experiencing homelessness. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting with daily living skills, connecting them with essential resources, and fostering a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support and case management services to youth in our shelter and outreach programs.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, hygiene, and personal care.
  • Connect youth with essential resources, including housing, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.
  • Facilitate group activities and workshops to promote social skills development and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of youth interactions and progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with homeless youth or vulnerable populations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed care principles.
