Position Summary

The Youth Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in leading and nurturing a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all participants in our youth programs. This position involves guiding and facilitating various activities, including climbing instruction, games, and educational sessions, while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Facilitation: Oversee participant check-in, waivers, and equipment rentals while ensuring a smooth orientation process.
  • Lesson Development: Create and implement engaging lesson plans that enhance the quality of our youth programs.
  • Instruction: Conduct youth program sessions in collaboration with the Program Manager, ensuring effective coaching and support.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to families visiting our facilities, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Communication: Maintain regular updates with the Program Manager regarding youth program developments and participant feedback.
  • Safety Oversight: Ensure all participants understand facility rules and safety protocols, promoting risk awareness and mitigation.
  • Incident Response: Act promptly to any safety or health incidents, following established protocols and documenting occurrences as required.
  • Equipment Management: Track and maintain all youth program equipment, ensuring readiness for use.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 16 years.
  • Passion for working with youth and fostering their development.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification is required.
