About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join our team at Havertys Furniture, Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, leading a team of sales professionals, and driving sales growth in our Nashville Market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with experienced Havertys Managers to develop leadership skills and advance your career
  • Deliver world-class service to customers, creating a professional experience for Team Members
  • Sharpen management leadership skills and experience by selling, coaching, training, merchandising, controlling inventory, and overseeing operations
  • Represent the Havertys brand through polished communication, personal appearance, and professionalism
  • Embody our Values, Customer Focus, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, while embracing our History and Heritage
Requirements
  • Retail sales management experience
  • Love for sales, creating happiness with customers, and building lasting relationships
  • Furniture and interior design experience a major plus
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to motivate, influence, and inspire yourself and others
  • Computer literacy
  • Enjoyment of details and operational excellence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Integrity, honesty, and leadership

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move furniture items using team lifting and/or available tools for furniture floor relocation
  • Ability to maneuver effectively around gallery floor, stock room, and office
  • Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and bending
