Position Summary:

In the role of Senior IT Systems Architect, you will spearhead the strategic planning and design of the systems infrastructure for Global IID Parent LLC. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the systems are efficient and aligned with business and customer needs. You will continuously monitor system performance and recommend enhancements. Additionally, you will verify and review all system-related documentation, including installation protocols. This position typically requires independent work, with objectives communicated in terms of solutions or project goals. You will also provide mentorship to other Administrators and Engineers, sharing your expertise across various technical domains. Your work will involve advanced and intricate technical projects or business challenges that necessitate cutting-edge technical or industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, set up, and maintain diverse IT systems.
  • Possess subject matter expertise in SANs, servers, firewalls, hypervisors, and data protection appliances for third-party and custom-built enterprise applications.
  • Provision new physical and virtual servers as required.
  • Maintain an internal IT knowledge base for team training purposes.
  • Assist in managing a technical self-help resource for staff.
  • Conduct troubleshooting to identify, diagnose, and resolve common IT issues.
  • Provide reports on network and IT service performance to anticipate future growth needs.
  • Deliver periodic utilization trend reports for IT systems to the IT Manager.
  • Contribute to ongoing system and service enhancements through regular evaluations.
  • Support backup infrastructure to meet data protection objectives.
  • Ensure the necessary infrastructure for local and remote data centers, including generators, battery backup units, and environmental controls.
  • Stay updated with technical knowledge through training materials, workshops, and professional publications.
  • Provide emergency on-call support on a rotating basis.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the IT Manager.

Position Requirements:

  • Proficient in cloud environments: AWS and Azure.
  • Expertise in Microsoft operating systems and the MS Office Suite.
  • Intermediate understanding of network design and principles.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Systems/Network administration on Windows Server platforms.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments from 2012 to 2022.
  • Working knowledge of VOIP and IP Telephony systems.
  • Solid experience with backup solutions such as Veeam and/or BackupExec.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of server and PC hardware, including laptops, desktops, switches, firewalls, routers, and network wiring.
  • Ability to articulate clear and understandable instructions.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed (less than 5%).
  • Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, follow-up, and time management skills.
  • Ability to document project and task progress and provide updates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in a technical context.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical capability to lift servers, network, and storage equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
