About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join our team at Baird, Hampton & Brown. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for planning and designing landscapes for various projects, including parks and recreation, commercial buildings, residential subdivisions, hospitals, medical office buildings, schools, and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed landscape plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, ensuring timely completion and compliance with municipal ordinances.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and municipal staff to understand landscape expectations and requirements.
  • Produce high-quality color graphic renderings of landscape designs using Sketchup, AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design software.
  • Present project plans or designs to clients and public stakeholders, such as government agencies or community groups.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to identify opportunities and constraints.
  • Demonstrate expertise in plant materials, including trees, shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, groundcover, and their growing conditions.
  • Select sustainable materials for use in landscape designs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Professional Texas Landscape Architect license.
  • Three to six years of landscape architecture experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Sketch Up, and/or Land FX.
Physical Demands

This position requires prolonged sitting, with occasional walking and lifting up to 25lbs. Extensive computer usage is also required daily.

Position Type and Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt position, with an expectation to work 40 hours per week. We offer flexible scheduling options, including five 8-hour days or four 9-hour days with a half day on Friday morning.
