Job Summary

The Recovery Support Technician is a vital member of our team at Volunteers of America Mid-States, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our residential programs and clients. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the functional operations of the residential program and facility, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to clients, including sign-in/sign-out procedures, monitoring of client behavior, and completion of required documentation.
  • Conduct periodic tours of the facility and its grounds, identifying and reporting maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to ensure seamless operations and provide transportation and childcare services as needed.
  • Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties and attend training and clinical supervision sessions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years post-secondary education preferred.
  • Two years prior experience in a treatment facility or other specialized knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to be CPR/First Aid certified within 30 days of employment.
