Position: Tax Intern - Specializing in Credits, Incentives & Accounting Methods

Role Overview

As an intern at RSM, you will collaborate with a diverse range of clients, from large corporations to small businesses across various sectors. You will cultivate strong relationships with clients, gaining insights into their operations and challenges.

As part of our Credits and Incentives team, specifically focusing on Accounting Methods, your responsibilities will revolve around two primary principles: your technical proficiency and commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in tax strategy development and research concerning elements that influence the timing of income or deductions.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses and industries to propose effective tax planning solutions.
  • Support the execution of multiple projects concurrently, including client consultations, data collection, analysis, calculations, and preparation of tax documents.
  • Document facts and positions while drafting technical memoranda.
  • Communicate efficiently and respond promptly to both internal and external inquiries to ensure the success of Accounting Methods engagements.
  • Enhance your expertise through ongoing education and the pursuit of additional professional certifications.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Completion of 90 credit hours.
  • Pursuing a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Major in Accounting.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, with access to reliable transportation.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Aptitude for multitasking in a dynamic environment.
