Washington, Washington, D.C., United States Aquent Full time
Job Description

This project involves integrating two organizations' Salesforce systems following a recent merger. The Salesforce Architect will conduct thorough assessments to identify inefficiencies, permissions, and data flows, then redesign and plan changes to be implemented by Salesforce Developers.

The scope of the Salesforce Architect role includes reviewing, assessing, designing, developing, and planning to implement a fully functional CRM/account management system that is scalable, secure, and efficient. With a strong foundation based on regulatory compliance, the solution will uncover revenue opportunities for the sales team both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the current Salesforce implementation to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, both with integrations with other systems and business processes based on Salesforce best practices.
  • Develop a detailed technical architecture document outlining the data model, integration strategy with other systems, security and data privacy model, org structure, and best practices for ongoing Salesforce maintenance.
  • Create an implementation plan to configure Salesforce to meet current and future business requirements, integrations, and ensure data integrity and consistency across systems where Salesforce is the system of truth.
  • Design a data migration and integrity plan that identifies existing data structure in the system as well as new data sources, targets, and mapping of the data from other systems into Salesforce.
  • Develop a test plan that covers functional, performance, and security testing of the Salesforce solution.
  • Establish a training plan that provides ongoing guidance and support for end users and administrators of the Salesforce solution.
Success Metrics
  • The Salesforce solution meets functional, performance, and security requirements.
  • Seamless integration of data into Salesforce from other Salesforce instances and/or other systems with zero data loss or integrity issues for migrated data.
  • The future state Salesforce solution is documented and follows Salesforce best practices and standards.
  • The Salesforce solution is adopted by end users and provides data and visuals that align to business goals and processes, including sales KPIs.
  • Provide documentation for ongoing IT oversight of the technical teams who will implement and maintain the system in the future state.
  • Salesforce becomes the source of truth for all commercial data, resulting in a reduction of manual processes, customer data errors, and proactively offers up revenue opportunities to the sales team.
