Position Overview:

Discover does not provide sponsorship or transfer for employment work visas for this role. Candidates must currently possess authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

This role involves collaborating closely with leadership to implement analytical projects. You will tackle business challenges by utilizing methodologies such as segmentation, optimization, advanced analytics, and machine learning. You will create reports and dashboards to monitor performance metrics and deliver insights. It is essential to proactively manage and escalate risks and issues that impact customers in your daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop sophisticated analytical solutions, including customer segmentation, optimization, experimental design, and prescriptive analytics to address business challenges. Serve as a subject matter expert in statistical analysis, experimental design, analysis methodologies, modeling, and financial impact assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to comprehend their business requirements, executing comprehensive analyses that encompass data collection, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations. Present findings and recommendations effectively to various leadership levels, creating visual representations of quantitative data.
  • Establish and maintain effective performance tracking systems; identify opportunities for improvement, formulate hypotheses, propose, design, and implement tests to enhance strategies and optimize outcomes.
  • Manage multiple priorities, effectively communicate business performance and project updates to management and business partners.
  • Create and automate reports, iteratively develop and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, addressing analytical needs. Facilitate the implementation of work products and ensure accuracy.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and documentation requirements. Suggest enhancements to workflows to boost efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. Continuously enhance technical and leadership skills through training and development opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations Analytics, Modeling/Data Science, or a related field.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position typically ranges between $85,500.00 to $119,000. Additional incentives may be offered as part of a competitive total compensation package. Factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may influence the salary for this role.
