Position Overview:

Discover does not provide sponsorship or transfer for employment work visas for this role. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

The role involves collaborating closely with leadership to implement analytical projects. You will address business challenges by utilizing methodologies such as segmentation, optimization, advanced analytics, and machine learning. You will create reports and dashboards to effectively track performance metrics and deliver insights. It is essential to proactively manage and escalate risks and issues that may affect customers in your daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop sophisticated analytical solutions including customer segmentation, optimization strategies, experimental design, and prescriptive analytics to tackle business challenges. Serve as a subject matter expert in statistical analysis, experimental design, analysis methodologies, modeling, and financial impact assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify their analytical needs, conducting comprehensive analyses that encompass data collection, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations. Present findings and recommendations effectively to various levels of leadership, utilizing visual representations of quantitative data.
  • Establish and maintain robust performance tracking systems; identify opportunities for improvement, formulate hypotheses, and design and implement tests to enhance strategies and optimize outcomes.
  • Manage multiple priorities while communicating business performance and project updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and automate reporting processes, iteratively building and prototyping dashboards to meet analytical demands, ensuring accuracy and facilitating the implementation of work products.
  • Adhere to established work processes and documentation standards. Propose enhancements to workflows to boost efficiency while maintaining high-quality outputs. Continuously advance technical and leadership capabilities through training and development.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations Analytics, Modeling/Data Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition, we would prefer:

  • A Master's Degree in Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations Analytics, Modeling/Data Science, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this position typically ranges between $85,500.00 to $119,000. Additional incentives may be included as part of a competitive total compensation package. Factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may influence the pay for this role.
