Job Summary

Discover is seeking a highly skilled Lead Treasury Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Treasury department, you will be responsible for producing and interpreting reports and analytics in support of core Treasury activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to high-level reporting functions and develop key strategic communication to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct a wide range of analyses that support all core Treasury activities, including interest rate, capital and liquidity risk management, funds transfer pricing, funding and capital markets activities, cash management, and various reporting functions.
  • Take primary responsibility for the accuracy, reasonableness, and consistency of data and assumptions used to model balance sheet activities while implementing appropriate controls.
  • Manage regulatory requirements and stay current with best practices to manage changes in such.
  • Manage and articulate strategic objectives.
  • Learns and develops technology and data analysis skills and serves as a key resource to other Treasury analysts by teaching and promoting best practices in the same.
  • Support Corporate Treasury's technology initiatives to automate routine tasks and streamline workflows.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management.
  • 4+ years of experience in Financial Analysis and/or Banking/Financial Services or related.
  • In lieu of education, 6+ years of experience in Financial Analysis and/or Banking/Financial Services or related.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in relevant work, especially using programming languages (Python or similar, SQL), statistical software (Stata, R, or similar), ALM software (QRM or similar), and web development languages (HTML, CSS, etc.).
