About the Job

Gandara Mental Health Center, Inc. is seeking a skilled Housing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role presents an excellent opportunity to utilize your skills and experience to make a positive impact in the lives of young families and individuals facing housing instability.

The selected individual will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive plans to address housing, employment, and educational needs. They will provide expert guidance on budgeting, transportation, and self-care skills necessary for independent living.

About the Position:

  • Work collaboratively with the Franklin County Young Adult Housing (YAH) Coordinator and Supportive Housing Services Manager.
  • Develop expertise in housing-related resources and assist residents in overcoming CORI challenges.
  • Provide aftercare outreach and assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree and/or 3 years of experience in homeless services preferred.
  • Experience working with pregnant and parenting young adults required.
  • Knowledge of housing requirements and community resources desirable.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Mileage reimbursement.
