Job Summary

This position plays a vital role in our Young Adult Housing Services program, assisting young families and individuals experiencing housing instability to find permanent housing. The ideal candidate will work closely with participants for 12 months to maintain housing stability.

The Housing Specialist will create customized plans to address housing, employment, and educational needs. They will provide guidance on budgeting, transportation, and self-care skills necessary for independent living.

The selected individual must possess strong case management skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with clients. Knowledge of community resources and wraparound services is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Franklin County Young Adult Housing (YAH) Coordinator and Supportive Housing Services Manager to deliver professional services.
  • Solicit referrals and engage new participants to minimize time spent homeless.
  • Establish trust with clients through strengths-based feedback and support.
  • Develop expertise in housing-related resources and assist residents in overcoming CORI challenges.
  • Provide aftercare outreach and assistance as needed.
