Mental Health Association, Inc. is seeking a Housing Navigator to join their team.

About the Role

The Housing Navigator will be responsible for connecting with local youth-serving organizations, schools, employers, colleges, and others in the community to find and support youth and young adults who are at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community providers to support permanent housing procurement.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage time, and work independently as a member of a team.
  • Ensure individuals have necessary items to secure housing, assist in budget development, and provide short-term follow-up and advocacy after housing placement.
  • Complete documentation requirements, including assessments, progress notes, and data entry.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license, sufficient automobile insurance, acceptable driving record, and a safe reliable vehicle during working hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively, communicate effectively, and maintain certifications in medication administration (MAP), CPR, and first aid.
  • Previous experience working with those experiencing homelessness and/or at-risk youth; experience helping individuals obtain housing preferred.
  • Bilingual and candidates with lived experience of homelessness are preferred.
