Job Summary

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by assisting customers with their purchases, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service:
    • Project a positive and friendly demeanor to provide excellent customer service.
    • Greet customers entering and throughout the store, thanking them by name when possible.
    • Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
    • Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly and effectively.
    • Communicate any problems or issues that require management assistance.
    • Build product knowledge and assist customers with store layout and product location.
  • Register Operations:
    • Follow all cash register transaction procedures.
    • Responsible for balancing the register drawer.
    • Adhere to any store programs or promotions that require implementation at the cash registers.
    • Participate in store and team meetings.
  • Front End Appearance and Upkeep:
    • Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors, neat and clean at all times.
    • Assist with keeping impulse counters stocked and faced, rotating fresh merchandise as seasons change.
    • Ensure fresh ads are stocked in shopping carts at all times.
    • Ensure forms and supplies are stocked at all times.
    • Assist with decorating the front end according to the store program.
    • Call for cart pickups when necessary.
    • Inform management when merchandise returns need to be put away.

  • Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Cashier experience preferred.
    • Customer service experience preferred.
    • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and climb.
  • Compensation:

$16.90 per hour.
