Position Overview

The Director of Program Development and User Experience plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape at Acord. This position is responsible for the design and implementation of transformative learning experiences tailored for professionals in cooperative operations. The Director will work closely with industry leaders and educational experts to ensure that our programs meet the evolving needs of our stakeholders.

The successful candidate will lead the development of both customizable and modular educational content, fostering an environment that encourages innovative thinking and practical application within the cooperative sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to expand Acord's educational offerings, ensuring alignment with industry demands and participant needs.
  • Oversee the design and execution of instructional programs, maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and program effectiveness, utilizing a design-thinking approach to refine and enhance educational initiatives.
  • Engage with a variety of stakeholders, including cooperative leaders and educational institutions, to promote Acord's mission and programs.
  • Facilitate presentations and workshops to share insights and foster collaboration among participants.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree and relevant experience in educational settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging technology to enhance educational delivery and support faculty in their instructional goals.
  • Proficiency in various technological platforms, including web development, multimedia tools, and online learning environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in conducting user research and program evaluation, particularly in relation to accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships across diverse groups.
  • A strategic mindset with experience in managing projects and driving initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Work Mode: Hybrid
