Innovation Program Coordinator - Inside Higher Ed

Position Overview

The Innovation Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting our mission by working closely with project teams, stakeholders, and partners. This position requires a proactive approach to project management, ensuring the successful execution of initiatives aimed at enhancing educational outcomes and promoting social equity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Provide comprehensive project management support to teams, ensuring that project plans are developed, milestones are identified, and timelines are adhered to.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside project teams to facilitate communication and coordination, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovative solutions.
  • Documentation: Draft and maintain project documentation, synthesizing diverse perspectives and prioritizing key objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges, proactively addressing them to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process for new team members, providing them with essential resources and guidance.


Center Coordination
  • Engage in center-wide meetings to stay informed about ongoing projects and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support grant reporting and project proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Operations team to manage project resources effectively, including contracts and procurement.
  • Maintain communication with peer coordinators and key staff to ensure transparency and alignment on project updates.

Cross-Project Initiatives
  • Support the identification of needs and opportunities across projects, enhancing the overall impact of our initiatives.
  • Contribute to cross-project collaboration efforts, sharing best practices and lessons learned to improve project outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing complex projects with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in the civic tech or social impact sectors is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in collaborative software and project management tools.

Work Mode Designation

This position is designated as Hybrid, allowing for a flexible work environment that supports collaboration and productivity.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
