This role involves managing all aspects of travel for government clients, including booking domestic and international airline itineraries, hotel reservations, car rentals, and train tickets through our Global Distribution System (GDS). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication: Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding new travel arrangements or changes to existing itineraries.
  • Travel Booking: Utilize Sabre to book and issue airline, hotel, car, and other reservations accurately and efficiently.
  • Account Knowledge: Maintain sufficient knowledge of accounts to assist clients without delay.
  • Accuracy and Quality: Check queues daily to ensure accuracy and completeness of issued tickets.
  • Service Excellence: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to traveler needs, and clarify information as required.
  • KPIs and Productivity: Meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, transactions, and attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience booking domestic and international travel, with complex international travel being a plus.
  • GDS System: Experience using a GDS system, with Sabre being a requirement and Amadeus a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer and typing skills, ability to navigate multiple programs and use shortcut keys.
  • Language Skills: Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certifications: Familiarity with federal travel regulations, Fly America Act, and Open Skies Agreement.
