Job Overview

Dungarvin is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
  • Support Independence: Encourage and enable individuals to perform daily tasks and activities with minimal assistance.
  • Assist with Daily Living Tasks: Prepare meals and snacks, perform light housekeeping and laundry duties, and assist with transportation needs.
  • Implement Positive Behavior Supports: Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Document Progress: Maintain accurate and detailed records of individual progress and needs.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • References: Must be able to provide professional references.
  • Training and Orientation: Must be able to attend two weeks of paid in-house orientation and training.
