Partnerships in Community Living, Inc. (PCL) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. In this role, you will play a vital part in the lives of children aged 10 to 18, supporting their growth and development.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide individualized care and guidance, assisting these young individuals in building essential life skills, fostering positive relationships, and developing effective communication strategies. Your work will focus on empowering them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to children aged 10 to 18.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Encourage social interaction and participation in recreational activities.
  • Implement behavior management strategies based on positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Document observations and progress reports accurately and thoroughly.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 25 pounds (some shifts may require more).
  • Successful completion of Oregon Intervention System (OIS) certification and CPR/First Aid training.
  • Pass a state/federal criminal history and protective service investigation check, including fingerprinting.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen for the use of illegal substances in Oregon.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Basic computer skills.
