Job Overview

HealthCare Support is currently seeking a Pharmacy Order Processing Technician to fulfill a vital role within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage, interpret, and enter medication orders into the pharmacy's computerized system while adhering to accuracy and productivity benchmarks.
  • Conduct drug calculations, including basic math operations (e.g., milligram conversions).
  • Address issues related to claim denials identified during adjudication and follow up on claims as necessary.
  • Stay informed about Medicaid claim regulations and procedures.
  • Generate reports and keep management updated on outstanding claims and those requiring follow-up.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients, in alignment with our organizational values.
  • Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, which may involve supporting various areas of the pharmacy as directed by management.
  • Availability: Flexibility is essential; candidates should be open to various schedules.
Shift Details:

Opening Shifts: Two shifts available with start times between 8 AM and 9 AM, concluding between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
Closing Shifts: 10 AM to 8:30 PM.
Sunday Shift: 10 AM to 7 PM.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 6 months of previous order entry experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medication terminology, and the metric system; proficiency in computer operations.
  • Licenses/Certifications: As mandated by state regulations, specifically required in the state of Oregon.
  • Detail-oriented, goal-driven, collaborative team player with strong customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 2 years of experience in a specialty pharmacy environment.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $23 - $25.
