We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Float Staff to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the Eugene, Oregon area.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to individuals with I/DD in a float capacity, including providing companionship, personalized care, and promoting independence and self-care.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Implement positive behavior supports and prepare meals and snacks.
- Perform light household duties and provide mobility and transfer assistance, including using mechanical lift devices.
- Accompany individuals on community activities and outings and assist with transportation needs.
- 1+ years of experience as a DSP or caregiver, preferably in residential services.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle to travel between programs and provide transportation to clients.
- Ability to learn different supports, from medical to behavioral.
- Passion for helping others and working independently.
- Dependable and adaptable with excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions and provide references.
- 18 years of age or older.
